Many people are constantly worrying about their physical appearance. It is a source of embarrassment and shyness, which affects their self-confidence. “Doctor, I can’t wear a swimming costume any more”, “I don’t dare undress in front of my husband”, “My clothes don’t fit me any more”, “I’ve lost all of my self-confidence”… These are concerns I often hear from my patients, especially in the run-up to summer.
How can we safely and effectively respond to these patients’ requests?
